AMBULANCE DEPARTMENT CAPTAIN
The Charlestown Ambulance Department is currently looking for a Department Captain.  This position requires the candidate to be a Paramedic level provider.  Duties include but are not limited to: patient care, assist with budget preparation, oversee equipment & improvement, medical liaison, pharmacy liaison, all legal compliance, oversee and maintain training, and new employee orientation and training.  

AMBULANCE DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
The Charlestown Ambulance Department is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant.  This position requires the candidate to be a EMT Basic level provider and preferably experience with Tempsis.  Duties include but are not limited to: personnel/training file maintenance, patient care files, correspondence, billing& charting maintenance.

TRANSFER STATION ATTENDANT
 The Town of Charlestown is accepting applications for part-time, Transfer Station Site Attendant
Duties include:
  • Maintaining the Transfer Station and ensuring the proper disposal and classification of recycled materials.
  • Keeping the work area clean and accessible.
  • Receiving and recording fees and maintaining cash box.
  • Assisting residents and commercial users in the appropriate disposal or placement of refuse and painted wood, brush, leaves, grass, etc.
  • Checking for Transfer Station stickers.
  • Operating compactors.
  • Performing other related duties as required.
The qualified candidate must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. repeatedly and work on their feet for up to eight hours. Ability to work with the public is necessary. Hours may include weekends and vary. The qualified candidate will be required to have a background check and pre-employment testing as per the Town’s policies. This position is part-time and training will be provided. There are no benefits offered for this position.~

SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DRIVER

The Charlestown Transfer Station  is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of    Solid Waste Truck Driver / CDL Class A.~ This position is part time (up to 20/hrs./wk.) reporting directly to the Highway Superintendent.
Strong candidates must have the ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner, along with the demonstration of solid moral characteristics of being a conscientious, honest, energetic and dependable employee while maintaining a safe workplace.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:  operating vehicles to collect and transport solid waste materials for disposal and other duties as assigned.~ Candidate met be able to understand and follow oral and written directives.
Successful applicant must be at least 21 years of age, possession of a~NH Class~A CDL~is REQUIRED~.~Will be subject to a drug/alcohol screening.  High School diploma or equivalent required, plus any combination of~ education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skill and ability.

Town Clerk-Tax Collector

Clerk Assistant, Town Clerk-Tax Collector Charlestown.  20 hours per week (sometimes more) in a customer service environment working closely with the NH Dept. of Safety, NH Dept. of Revenue, Secretary of State’s Office and Vital Records along with local officials.  Application may be obtained in our office or download one at www.charlestown-nh.gov under employment.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Ambulance Service

Charlestown Ambulance is actively recruiting new members to join our service.
Emergency medicine is a challenging, yet rewarding field where we can help our
neighbors in there time of need. Are you up for a challenge? Do you want to give
back to your community? If you are a currently licensed EMT or have interest in

3686. You need to only be 18 years of age to apply for full service, but we are
interested in mentoring young adults who have an interest in pursuing a career in
emergency medicine.


Police Department

The Charlestown Police Department is now accepting applications for the positions of
Part-Time Police Officer and Part-Time Dispatcher. Minimum
qualifications for Police Officer Positions include: United States citizen, high school
diploma or equivalent, must be 21 years of age and the ability to pass a written, physical
agility, polygraph, psychological, and an extensive background check. Part-Time
Dispatchers minimum qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent, must
be an effective communicator, multitasker, and pass an extensive background check.
